The Supreme Court seems to be ready to rule in favor of freedom. The Financial Times of London is reporting that after 98 minutes of debate, it appeared that a majority of the court will rule that the Constitution means just what it says – that the US constitution protects the right of individual Americans to “keep and bear arms”. HOWEVER, they also ruled that states and local governments will still have power to regulate.
So it’s a mixed bag. State regulation almost assuredly would mean that here in California, the land of the fruits and nuts, I still will not be able to get a carry permit. You have to be a contributor of our former corrupt Sheriff here in OrangeCounty to get a permit.
In the final analysis, having another stroke of the pen on the side of freemen who want to protect themselves and their families is a good thing.
